I was an athlete most of my adolescent life. I played club and school volleyball, dabbled in track and other activities. As I got older, I became heavily involved in CrossFit and powerlifting, and competed in both sports. Wellness was slowly becoming my passion. However, I didn’t always live my life with balance in mind. I had a stressful career in IT and Project Management, and the only thing I knew that would ease my stress was working out. Working out 2-3 times a day, 6 days a week, and obsessively restricting calories became the norm. Sure, I was strong and lean, but I was far from balanced. My hormones, sleep, energy, and mood were out of whack. The combination of chronic stress on the job, toxic relationships, and overtraining caught up with me, which led to adrenal fatigue...TWICE!
I dug myself into a hole I thought I’d never get out of and became more unhappy and depressed. I knew I needed to make a change. Luckily, I had an amazing naturopathic doctor I was already working with to help guide me in a more positive direction. He introduced me to Nuuaria, and their approach to manage stress intrigued me. I was READY to commit to the Nuuaria Method and be the best version of myself.
Since then, I quit my high stress job and started my own business as a holistic certified personal trainer and became a Mentor here at Nuuaria. I get so much satisfaction in helping and educating others who want to be healthy in mind, body, and spirit.
When I’m not with clients, I stay active in many other activities. I love hiking, biking, baking healthy treats, and spending time with my loved ones. I still enjoy powerlifting and HIIT training (in moderation hehe), but compliment these with tons of walking, and
